Body Lift in Evansville and Jasper, IN
Many of our patients in the tri-state area of Southern Indiana, Northern Kentucky, Illinois have loose, sagging skin despite otherwise being very fit. A body lift performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ryan Flannagan at Flannagan Plastic Surgery could be the solution for all Evansville and Jasper residents who want to firm and tighten problem areas of the body.
What is a Body Lift Procedure?
A body lift procedure is designed to firm and tighten multiple areas of the body at once by removing excess skin and pulling the underlying muscle and fat together. It is typically performed after losing a great deal of weight. Two types of body lift are offered here at Flannagan Plastic Surgery:
- An upper body lift, which tightens the arms, chest, back, and waist
- A lower body lift, which firms the thighs, lower abdominals, buttocks, and hips
Benefits of a Body Lift
A body lift can:
- Remove excess skin that has been stretched through the years due to fluctuating weight
- Allow you to achieve a more athletic appearance
- Tighten and tone more than one problem area, avoiding the need for multiple procedures
Is a Body Lift Right for Me?
If you have lost a significant amount of weight, your skin may no longer fit your new contours. Instead, you may have a great deal of sagging, loose skin, making it impossible to wear the right sized clothing. A body lift can correct this issue, allowing you to look as fit as you feel. You may also desire a body lift if you have more than one problem area you would like to correct and do not wish to undergo multiple surgeries.
Elements of a Body Lift
Your procedure will vary somewhat based upon whether you are having an upper or a lower body lift, and the exact areas you wish to tone. You will receive general anesthesia and could even require an overnight stay in the hospital if Dr. Flannagan is removing an excess amount of tissue.
How Long is the Recovery After a Body Lift Procedure?
This will also vary based upon whether you are having an upper or lower body lift. Since the muscles in the lower portion of the body are larger, a longer recovery period is needed for a lower body lift. With an upper body lift, you could be ready to resume normal activities in as little as two weeks, while it might take up to eight weeks if you have a lower body procedure.
How Much Does a Body Lift Procedure Cost?
The first step in determining your cost is to schedule a body lift consultation at Flannagan Plastic Surgery. This will allow us to develop a custom treatment program as well as a detailed cost analysis. We will then go over this cost analysis item by item to ensure you fully understand each item listed. After that, our team will work out the best financing option for your needs and budget. Most of our patients use a combination of the following to pay for their procedures:
- Personal or cashier’s checks
- American Express
- CareCredit® Financing
